I’m the husband to my best friend, Audra and father to the coolest kid, Aaron. I work for Pulte Homes and I love it! But, the best part of my day is coming home to my family.
About me
Things I love: Seinfeld, double-tall lattes from Starbucks, Gator and Jaguar football, sports radio, HDTV, listening to NPR podcasts on my Apple iPod, and Blue Bell ice cream.
I graduated from the University of North Florida in 2002 with a BA in Psychology and then from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in 2004 with an MA in Theological Studies. I was recently accepted into the University of North Florida MBA program but have yet to find the time to take classes! Having a baby really messes up your dreams and aspirations!
I’ve been a Youth Pastor at Shindler Drive Baptist Church (Jax, FL), an English Minister at San Francisco Chinese Baptist Church, and a Worship Pastor at Rivertown Church (Jax, FL). Now I am a Customer Relations Manager for Pulte Homes, one of the largest homebuilders in the nation. However, my heart will always remain for the local church and whatever church we land in, I will be sure to plug in whatever capacity is needed.
About this blog
People that have known me for a long time often ask me: You’re not in ministry anymore? What are you doing now and why?
I see ministry differently than I did 15 years ago–even 3 years ago! For more on my views, read about my New Mathematics of Ministry. I’m still learning what it means to be a minister outside the walls of a church and without the title of a pastor. I don’t think I’ve arrived—in fact, I have plenty of room for improvement. In this blog, I’ll share about what I’m learning. But, I’ll also post on such non-theological issues like my son, Aaron and wife Audra, American Idol, the NFL, bad restaurants, and interesting news stories.
